Is interesting that some of the sprite graphics are almost the same as the arcade. But the game fails on even gameplay, compared to monster Y Board. I was wondering, why sega didn't even bother to create a lower end scaler chip for some games on the Mega Drive. Too bad Sega dev team didn't tried harder on his own machine, it could be a little bit better. Great video!
Thank you for watching the video! There was a big difference in performance between Sega's arcade game machines and home-use game machines. It was like monsters vs humans. I wish Sega would do better.
This one is a bit interesting The Mega Drive port was made by CRI, who was the same team behind the FM Towns version, and it's probably one of, if not the only MD game with an odd cartridge size (Mega Everdrives read it as 413 KB, which is between 3 and 4 Mbits. Rather tiny for a Mega Drive game) For the cart size, it's an impressive port, and dare I say better than the FM Towns version? It's just a shame it's still not that good compared to the arcade
It plays alright on MD, but the graphics are severely simplified against the arcade. Some obstacles are removed as well. Not only is there a graphic hit, but also a gameplay downgrade. SS did GF2 better. That said, it was downgraded to 30 FPS like Power Drift but also suffers a little slowdown sometimes. Sega's Y-Board was a beast. It took Dreamcast (Power Drift) and PS2 (GF2) for perfect ports. I question Sega's choice of developer on SS GF2. Appaloosa? Odd one to go with there.

@@R-GAME No problem!!I I really enjoy the comparison video!
Currently with the Sega Mark V, some developer can do wonders that with the base Mega Drive, it would be interesting to see that in the future.
